Meet Janelle, the talented Grenadian artisan behind Zulekha Designs!
With her motto “Beauty by Nature,” Janelle has a wonderful way of turning everyday materials into beautiful jewellery. Plastic bottles, eggshells, local seeds and other natural materials become colourful earrings and accessories that are anything but ordinary. They are incredibly lightweight, comfortable to wear, and made with hypoallergenic finishes.
Inspired by Caribbean colours, tropical flowers and the nature around her, Janelle creates her pieces by hand, often sculpting and painting the little details herself.
What makes her jewellery so special is that no two pieces are quite the same. And knowing that something as simple as a discarded plastic bottle can become a lovely pair of earrings makes it even more interesting!
