John Henry is a young, self-taught artist from Westerhall, St. David, whose passion for visual arts began at the age of 12. Since 2015, he has steadily made his mark on Grenada’s art scene, participating in notable local exhibitions including the esteemed Grenada Contemporary Art Show.

Inspired by the natural world, music, lively interactions, and especially the festive spirit of carnival and J’Ouvert, John’s work bursts with energy, color, and emotion—offering a fresh and authentic glimpse of island life through his eyes.

In addition to painting, John shares his talent as an art teacher, and works as a part-time photographer and videographer. He’s also known for painting live at local hotels, engaging guests with his creative process.
