From a personal struggle to a passion for natural skincare

Sometimes, the most meaningful businesses begin with a personal experience. For the woman behind ChiNel Skincare, that experience was a difficult journey with sensitive skin.

For years, conventional lotions and deodorants caused uncomfortable reactions, including painful rashes and abscesses. When surgery was suggested as a possible solution, she began looking for a gentler, more natural alternative.

What started as a search for something that would work for her own skin soon became something much bigger.

She began experimenting with natural ingredients, first creating her own deodorant and gradually discovering a passion for making skincare products. As her confidence and knowledge grew, so did her range of handmade creations.

In July 2012, ChiNel Skincare was officially born.

Based in Grenada, ChiNel creates artisan skincare products with a focus on natural ingredients and thoughtful, handmade production. Her collection includes soaps, lotion bars, lip balms and deodorants, with ingredients such as Grenadian cocoa butter connecting her creations to the island she calls home.

But ChiNel Skincare is about more than making beautiful products. It grew from a genuine desire to find better options for sensitive skin and has developed into a business that encourages people to care for themselves and feel comfortable in their own skin.

Her journey is a wonderful example of how a personal challenge can inspire creativity, determination and a locally made business.
