Rashida Isaac of RI Creations showcasing her handmade Grenadian-inspired artwork.

“Turning everyday materials into extraordinary pieces of Grenadian art.”

Meet Rashida Isaac, the self-taught Grenadian artist and creative mind behind RI Creations. From beautifully detailed portraits to colorful, handcrafted sculptures inspired by Grenada’s natural treasures, Rashida’s artistic journey is one of creativity, experimentation, and a passion for giving discarded materials a new purpose.

Inspired by the Spice Isle

Grenada’s rich culture and natural beauty provide endless inspiration for Rashida’s work. Her handmade creations celebrate some of the island’s most recognizable treasures, including cocoa pods, nutmegs, cinnamon, and tropical foliage.

• Material Transformation: Using materials such as upcycled paper, plastic, and acrylic paint, she transforms everyday resources into decorative art, miniature sculptures, keyrings, and unique keepsakes.
• Miniature Masterpieces: Her colorful cocoa and spice creations are particularly charming, capturing the vibrant shapes and organic textures of Grenada’s famous agricultural products in miniature form.

From Portraits to Mixed-Media Creations

Rashida’s artistic background includes expressive pencil portraits and realistic drawings that capture personality and emotion. Over time, her creative interests have evolved toward mixed-media art, three-dimensional creations, and experimenting with different materials and techniques.

Today, her work combines fine artistic detail with imaginative craftsmanship, demonstrating how ordinary materials can become something beautiful and meaningful.
